In German ‘wandern’ means either ‘wandering’, ‘hiking’ or, in case of exhibitions Wanderausstellung is the equivalent to travelling exhibition. The Dutch term is as well referring to travelling – reizende tentoonstelling – rather than to wandering, so it suggests here that the exhibhition is wandering.
